Evacuee Experience

Pupils will travel back to the dark days of the Second World War to learn all about the experiences of local children forced from their homes as evacuees.

The aim of this full day session is to study aspects of daily life and the Home Front. Children will make use of a range of artefacts at both Bury Transport Museum and Bury Art Gallery and Museum to enhance their learning. They will also experience a train journey as an evacuee.
