Good things come in small packages!
Fans of railcars won’t want to miss our annual Diesel Multiple Unit Gala. Usually seen supporting their larger cousins, this event sees the diminutive DMUs take centre stage.
Members of our home fleet will be running all DMU services on an intensive timetable throughout the entire weekend. Come along to take a ride with your favourite.
The event pays tribute to the post-Beeching era of British Rail in the 1970’s and 80’s, when the Diesel Multiple Unit (DMU) was entrusted to operations across branch lines within the northwest, and the daily commute to major centres including Preston, Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester Victoria.
