Lancashire & Yorkshire Running Days

We are celebrating our Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway (L&Y) steam locomotives with a series of dates throughout 2025 – 9 August, 27 September and 1 November.

Standard fares apply, with each timetabled steam service either double-headed or top n’ tailed with L&Y locomotives 52322 and 11456.

Also, there will be driver experiences with L&Y ‘Pug’ 11243 at Bury Bolton Street Station. These are bookable on the day only at Bury, card and cash payments accepted.

Step into the past with a visit to the Transport Museum, showcasing an extensive collection of vintage vehicles and artefacts.

Food & Refreshments
The Trackside Pub (Platform 2) and Buffet (Platforms 3 and 4) will be open throughout the day, serving delicious food and beverage. Relax and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere with fellow enthusiasts and railfans.
